Seeking Meaning
For years, I followed the path that was supposed to lead to fulfillment — building a 6-figure consulting career, earning an advanced degree at an ivy league university – essentially achieving the markers of success I was taught to value in my New England upbringing. There is nothing wrong with this path, but internally, I felt disconnected from purpose.
I had no connection with my true inner voice or a higher power; I was normalizing a feeling of being physically, mentally, and emotionally burnt out. Underneath it all my soul was quietly nudging me to wake up to my authentic calling through poetry, song, and creative inspirations.
It was through a whole host of spiritual detours and explorations that led me to authentic yoga (not just as a physical practice but as taught in India) as a way of living and state of being — then, I began to feel inner clarity and a sense of stability in life.
Through daily meditation, breath, chanting mantra, kriya yoga, I experienced what it meant to remember who I am and why I am here.
I began to notice that the way I moved through these practices mirrored the way I moved through my life. And as I learned to stay present with stillness, with the breath, the voice, and the subtle sensations in my body, I found a steadiness I hadn’t experienced before. A kind of calm that wasn’t passive — but alive. This is what one of my teachers in India, Anand Mehrotra of SATTVA Yoga, calls dynamic stillness.
Today, I guide others through breath and voice practices using mantras that help regulate the nervous system and reconnect them to their own inner guidance.
My approach blends ancient yogic technology with a grounded, real-world understanding of what it means to live in today’s fast-paced environment. I draw from my background in public health, my experience in the corporate world, and years of classical vocal training to create experiences that are both accessible and deeply transformative.
I’m especially passionate about working with people who are ready to move beyond surface-level solutions — and into a sustainable, embodied path of practice. Not because they have to but because something within them is ready. If you’re feeling the pull toward something deeper, I invite you to begin.
You are an Instrument
Nicole’s work is rooted in the understanding that the body is an instrument and that it is our work to tune that instrument to be able to access creative intelligence beyond human intellect. Through techniques and practices blending ancient traditions with modern science, it is possible to fine tune and train the nervous system, mind, and body in a way that supports a life that feels alive. Through intentional practices like kriya yoga, breathwork, meditation, mantra, vocal expression, and radical presence, each of us can access an intelligence beyond that which is found in books.
